SUKO Nordic was founded in 2016 by two molecular biologists, Monica Takamiya Wik and Peter Kristoffersen (from Chile and Denmark) with the purpose of bringing a range of high quality organic health products to the European and Asian markets. SUKO is acronym for SUnd KOst (Danish) = healthy diet. Together with our sister company Coesam Scandinavia founded in 2004, we have more than 12 years experiences in the rosehip business. We have expertise in the scientific issues related to rosehip ingredients, cultivation, and production. In 2014 we introduced the maqui berry powder to the European market. In 2018 we are introducing a couple of novel “2 in 1” products combining anthocyanin rich maqui and aronia powders with probiotic lactic acid bacteria.
We follow all the way
We enjoy every visit to Chile, one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Every year we visit our partners (including rosehip and maqui plantations) in the south of Chile during the harvesting period and follow our organic rosehips all the steps from harvest until the finished products are delivered to our customers.

Proof of Concept
In Scandinavia, the health benefits of Rosehip powder have been known for almost 20 years. Coesam Rosehip powder was introduced as the first organic certified rosehip powder in Denmark in 2005 and later in Sweden and Finland.
We saw, however, Germany as a Proof of Concept market for our export potentials. In 2010 when we started looking for partners on the German market, the German consumers hardly knew about rosehip powder. If we were able to set up in Germany with a new type of product, this would be our proof of concept. Our rosehip powder was tested in the German Reformhaus chain (as a co-brand, https://www.reformhaus.de/startseite/ ) in 2011, and it turned out to be a very successful product well accepted by the German consumers. The third year after Introduction of Coesam Rosehip Powder (powder and capsules) we obtained the reward Reformhaus Product of the Year 2014.
